Sorry to hear about accident on your new R4P.
Absolute take your R4P to a Toyota dealership with an in-house Toyota certified body repair shop. The downside, the repair wait time could be a lot longer.

As other have already mentioned above, you do not want a local shop to mess with the modern car electronics. Additionally, with an insurance's own shop, you can demand original parts all you want, but in some States, and most insurance companies have clauses in the policy that alleviate parts origin requirement.

You can check my other postings for my background. I would ignore those recommendations telling you to go with the insurance's shops, unless it is a Toyota dealership with an in-house Toyota certified body repair shop.

This is the most ridiculous question......how could you already wreck a 2023 and almost fully loaded.....YOU HAVE TO FREAKING PRESERVE THESE THINGS...that means caution in everywhere you go, behind you, in front of you ,when you get in. COME ON TOYOTA FAMILY, START TAKING BETTER CARE OF YOUR FINE MACHINES
Hope you are just being funny. 😇
Give OP a break, I am sure most people on this forum treasure their RAV4s (regardless of years and models), but accident(s) will happen to us all during our lifetime.
One of my in-laws totaled his new Corvette Z06 within a year, and the following year, he totaled a new Lexus LFA! 😢 He is still happily married.

the repair cost is $9500
Sorry to hear that.
But it sounds about right consider the damages to the hood, front fender, left front panel, left front door (adjustment?), front light assy and whatever else internally.
Hope your insurance will cover most or part of the repairs.
A friend just got his car back (after the catalytic converter got stolen) from a local repair shop, and the car have more damage than before it was dropped off! 🤦‍♂️

Synomenon OP,
Forgot to mention this earlier. Before picking up your R4P, ask the body shop to "realign' both front headlights, and check them before leaving the shop.
99% of the time, the body shop will skip this step (to save time) after installing one of the headlights.
