Ouch!! Bummer, dude. So sorry. On the bright side it happened on the front left and not the front right. From what I have read and observed on mine, the reason being is that the really high tech stuff including HVAC is bunched up in the right front and that would be all she wrote…totalled.
This looks costly but repairable

Based on my experience I would avoid the body shop that the insurance company recommends. After a deer hit in my Subaru I went to the shop recommended by the insurance company for a quote. After looking at the quality of the paint on finished cars I said Nope. I found a shop that only uses OEM parts and does quality paint work, not an easy task. Of course they cost more which doesn’t make the insurance company happy, but you are allowed to use any shop you want. They recalibrated the Subaru Eyesight just fine and I’ve had no issues since. Since then they have fixed my Miata after a deer hit, paint matches perfectly.

Sounds like good advice on the repair, so I’m wondering which is your favorite import to hunt with; Subaru or Mazda? I got a buck once in VA with my Crown Vic, but it didn’t need repair afterwards! 😉😜😂😂😂
