Hey guys, my 2014 Rav4 is experiencing some clicking noises on sharp slow right turns. I thought maybe it was the CV axle, so I went under to check them out. The CV axle boot were good, but I did see that greenish grease was coming out of the top of the outer tie rod boot on right end. The boot doesn't seem to be torn.
This is a 2014 Rav4 with about 160k KM. I'm not sure if it was always like this, but they are the original tie rods. Is this excess grease that worked its way out or is something wrong? I guess the CV axle could still be bad without any tears to the boot, since I don't think an outer tie rod would making clicking noises on a turn? Thanks.
P.s: One thing is strange, if I wash the CV boots and tie rod area with soap and water... The clicking sound disappears for a week or so but comes back. Not sure why is that :$
