Hi Everyone

so here is the story:

I do not use the handbrake EVER and the cables are loose
it tick when i drive on bumpy road ...
last time the dealer tight the cable with the little hole in the rear disk
(the notch) and he told me that my cable need to be change.
500$, I do not want to pay that ..

So this is the question:
can i adjust the little loose with the notch in the rear disk ?
and what can be the consequence of that ?
the dealer told me that this solution could use the brake ...

what do you think ?

Thanks

You could try taking up some of the slack at the brake handle end, in the center console:

NOTE: The way this thread starts out is NOT the way you normally adjust the parking brakes (at the rear wheels is proper). But as I understand it your goal is to tighten up the cable. Since you NEVER use the parking brake, I'd think it likely that adjusting things at the handle end would be ok.
