hi,can anybody please tell me were to find the handbrake adjuster
on my 05 rav,just needs taking up a bit and wanted to do it myself

Sorry, rav4russ. There seems to be a drop in folks in the 4.2 forums .
I myself have not seen where this maybe adjusted. If you haven't already and would still want to do it yourself, I would expect it to be near the end of the handbrake itself. You may need to remove the surrounding panels to access it.
Else, we can hope for other later inputs.

thinking same as you ,must be near lever just not sure how to get to it .just need some info on removing the trim,hoped someone had maybe done it
