I'm taking my Rav from the UK to tour France and Germany shortly. I need to adjust the headlight beam to drive on the right. The 2004 Rav has plastic headlight lens with out any marking, normally I would taped over a small trangle on the glass lens to give a flat beam.

Does anyone know how to solve this?

Hi Xt4,

On my last visite from the Netherlands to Great Brittain i had the same problem. I did adjust the headlights as far down as it can.
No problem so far.

Thanks for your reply, I did much the same on my last trip to France, adjusted the beam for heavy load from inside the car, i.e. +5 people setting.

Hi

I have recently returned from ten days in France.

Before leaving the UK I bought a pair of sticky rectangular converters from my Toyota shop (£5.65) and the service department fitted them free using their beamsetter.

Apparently the 2005 headlights do not have any location marks on the headlights and this makes them difficult to place accurately.

Nobody 'flashed me' in France so I guess they worked OK!
