I have also found that driving at high speeds with the sunroof open makes a very loud wind noise inside the vehicle, regardless of roof rack crossbar position.
I have purchased a Toyota Sunroof Wind Deflector (Toyota Part Number Part #: 00016-48505) for my 2004 RAV4 which is bolt/clip mounted to the inside edge of the sunroof opening. This accessory reduces the interior wind noise significantly, but not entirely.
Toyota Sunroof Wind Deflector - Toyota Part Number Part #: 00016-48505 - fits all 2001 , 2002 , 2003 , 2004 , and 2005 models; and has Toyota 1-year/unlimited mile warranty. Price about $50.
I have found that by leaving the driver and front passenger windows up and lowering the rear drivers side and passenger side windows down about 4 inches or so, dramatically reduces interior wind noise.
Only 63000 miles on our 2004 Rav4 but rust will be the end of it at some point. I
recently replaced the gas tank that rotted out and now the fuel filler tube assembly.
We really love this car and will hang onto it as long as we can.
I have an 04 sport with a non jbl stereo it seems like there might be an amp somewhere it sounds good for factory. I want to disconnect the factory amp and get a better amp to drive my infinity perfects components. I am also installing a dvd player JVC with the factory controls.
my sons car is with him at college. I suspect his front left wheel bearing is going.
Is the wheel bearing and hub assembly a bolt on, bolt off - I have impact tools etc. Considering driving to his college with jack, stands, etc and doing the work on site.
Does anyone have a right passenger side engine cover for the 2002 Toyota rav 4 automatic awd base they are selling?
