Hello, I'm Katy. My husband and I purchased our 2010 Rav4 V6 Sport back in August of 2012. So far it's treated us quite well. For the most part, we use it as a commuter vehicle, but we have taken a few road trips in it as well. We picked the Rav because we are Toyota fans (we currently have a 2011 Corolla and had a '96 previously). This Rav gets decent gas mileage and is comfortable to drive.

Welcome roadtripkaty - the v6 is gonna spoil you folks...seriously.

I've been driving for 45 years, and found wife's low mileage '08 RAV4 Limited v6...2.5 years ago.
- I got a nice 2000 4Runner SR5 and love it / because I like trucks & full-frame 4x4 ruggedness
- however ... wife Gen3 still brings me a smile, every weekend I drive it ... as the family vehicle
- it gets 3 mpg less than our previous 2.4L Volvo / but the 3.5L Toyota is by far, a Top10 design
- even in Canadian Winters, as long as one can see the roadway / the SUV will make it home
- just a tank, in snow & fairly stable on black ice ... we do run Winter tires
- darn thing even has heated seats, heated lower windshield & heated side mirrors
- also I prefer the swing out rear door & spare tire on the back ... I could go on & on

I firmly believe in synthetic oil changes with a WIX XP premium syn. media filter / my oil choice is Pennzoil Ultra Platinum 5W-30 ... my mechanic only charges me $15 (hoist & labor) as I provide the fluid supplies / I stock up on syn. oil (year supply), when it goes on sale.
- owned for 69,xxx Km (43k miles) now and only required a $90 part plus half hour labor to replace (one broken rear stabilizer axle link)
^^ Nothing to even dislike, feel safe behind the wheel & perfect in many ways / so enjoy.
