At some point the display of my selected contacts on the home screen changed from their name to their phone number. I've looked through the manual, but I can't seem to find how to either erase these contacts and add them again or the toggle between the phone number and the contact name. I really prefer that the name be displayed. I've attached a picture of the screen and the issue.

Any suggestions?

Thats odd. I'll check my Rav tonight.
Could those be sim card contacts? Are they all displayed like that?

My wife's 2015 RAV did the same thing. I can't figure it out was going to delete everything and start again.

No solution yet - phone numbers instead of contact names

I haven't had anyone offer a solution or explanation as to what is going on. I have an iPhone 5s that I'm connecting. Could it be a setting on the phone?

Contacts on home screen

I just had this happen on my 2015 Limited. The names are gone - replaced with just #s. I have an IPhone 6. I couldn't figure out how to delete the contact so I just added a new one. It was fine for awhile and now the name is gone on that one also. This is bugging me - I want the names back. How do I delete them? The manual isn't helping me.
Thanks.

I had a something similar happen to me. The issue was that I was saving my contacts on the sim, and not on the phone.
Once I added everyone in (saving on the phone, not the sim), all the info came back.
Of course once I was done, I had to update the phone list (setup -> phone -> refresh contact list)

I hope this fixes your issue...
Try it with one contact and see...

Been struggling with this for over a year. Here's what worked:

1. In the car settings, go to setup->phone->refresh contact list
2. Go back to the main screen where it shows your favorites
3. Press and hold each favorite and re-select the favorite (names should be displayed)
4. Names are now displayed!
@Bill1426 - AFAIK the iPhone doesn't allow choosing between SIM or phone storage. Everything is stored on the phone (but the phone can import from a SIM).

I also have solved this although I don't know what causes it - perhaps battery being disconnected. This occurs only with the WIDGETs on the home screen not with the contact list. Update the four of them individually by pressing and HOLDING each number and select the person from your contacts again. BE SURE to HOLD when you press or you will dial the number instead and bother your contact inadvertantly.
