Hello everyone, I am new to the forum recently (last December) buy a rav4 1999 4wd 4 doors after suffering with an Audi A4 quattro I thought that a light off road car was my best option, I live in Costa Rica a country with difficult roads
When I turn yesterday I hear a sound like brushing
Thinking that tires are to big and touched the fender or wheelwell
But no, it has different clereance in the tire arches. I attach some pics

To add to LugNut's suggestion about the sound, check your CV joints.

I could seeing this wrong, but in your second picture, it looks like your tire has rubbed a hole in the plastic. you should look at the distance with the wheels turned fully to the left and right.
