6 RAV4 2dr FWD
Intermittent ... I'll be sitting at a a stop light & all of a sudden a quick beep. Then again. If I pound on the large horn pad in the steering wheel it'll stop ... for a while. Could happen anytime and some times it doesn't for while. But happening more frequently now. I would like to know what I'm doing before I start taking apart the steering wheel. Thanks!

Sounds like the steering wheel clock spring is on it's way out. Steering wheel needs to be pulled to replace. Disconnect the negative battery cable before starting any work on the steering wheel. Failure to do so might cause the steering wheel air bag to go off while being removed.

You might find a YouTube video on the procedure for your gen Rav4. Not that hard, more of removing parts without breaking holding tabs.
