Hypothetically speaking, lets say I backed into the garage and parked for the night. Later that day I installed a newly received bike rack. All went perfectly.
Lets continue to hypothesize that a day later I drove for errands and found it very difficult to back out of a parking space because the car kept slamming on the brakes because the imaginary bike rack interfered with the parking sensor?
Is there no temporary way to disable the auto braking? OK will mute the tone and allow the driver to continue a bit further before it quits trusting me and slams the brakes again.
Just to leave my garage is one instant brake, I then pause it and before I get about 2.5 car lengths further it slams the brakes again.
I know I can turn off the brake feature (PKSB) but that is a permanent method vs just wanting to get out of a parking space without looking like a fool.
I get it if the only way is to disable the system, seems there would be a temporary means to give the driver a chance to drive with some type of rack or wheel chair or basket or, well anything, and not have the driver look like a student driver learning to drive a stick.
