Hello all,
Does anyone know an easy way to safely remove the rearview mirror from the windshield? I do not need to remove the "sticky base" from the glass, just the entire mirror.

Not owning a 2005 model... I can't be sure... but I think there is a "tab" on the bottom of the windshield mounting bracket. Push up on the tab... then the mirror should slide up and off the mounting bracket :?

That mirror mod looked great also, if my Wink install goes FUBAR, I may try that myself. Do you know if the factory "sensor" mirror is plug and play?

My 05 mirror was easily removed from the base plate with an allen wrench.
