I know that my Rav4 is year 1994, but what I want to know is when it came off the production line. Is it the first, 10th, 1000th?

How do I find out? Would it be on one of the information plates under the bonnet?

I would love to be the guy who has the very first Rav4 !!!

Good question bonkheads. :D I would have to guess that the only information that you would have to determine this is the vehicle's VIN plate. If I am not mistaken, the # on the VIN should be able to tell you a variety of things such as location of build, option items, and build # for that particular model year. Someone correct me if I am wrong. :D

Yes, normally there would be a sticker on the driver's doorframe that indicates the month and year of build. Mine was built 6/00 so it's one of the last ones off the line before they changed to the new 2001 style. The last five, or in some cases six (I believe Toyota uses the last six) digits of the VIN would be its sequential production number for that year. The lower the number, the earlier on in model year 1994 that it was produced.
