no they do not need to be the same size.....go to websites like tirerack.com or discounttiredirect.com and put in your vehicle information and they will list wheels that fit...they will also list tires that fir as well...on the exterior section of this forum is a thread devoted to aftermarket wheels...will give you an idea of what others such as myself have done...
