I have searched for a guide on how to replace the passenger side front cv axle, but I am unable to find a complete write up. Everything I find just has a few tips. I am looking for a complete step by step guide/diy write up.

My vehicle is a 2000 awd, auto, non ABS rav 4.

Any insight is highly appreciated.

Thank you

IIRC, you will need a slide hammer with the correct adapter to get the axle out of the transmission. otherwise it is a straight forward cv axle removal/install.

I just did the drivers side of my 98 this weekend... When I was taking out the CV it broke at the inner boot. When I tried to get the "stub" out by hand it was a real pain in the arse, no room to work...

My invention --- Take 1 pair of old vice grips you don't like... Weld big teeth on the first row so that you got lots of biting power on the ridges of the stub... Next, weld the bolt from the vice grips to the end of a slide hammer (mine is a home built one)... Snap it onto the stub and start slamming...

Youtube has some great videos, I like Ericthecarguy. He explains stuff in detail quite nicely.
