2011 RAV4 makes humming noise while driving, not when idling. It does not seem to be connected to the accelerator. If I shift into neutral while cruising it still makes the humming sound but will decrease as the speed decreases. It is not a high pitched whining sound but rather a lower pitch. I'm guessing something with wheel bearings, tires, etc. Does anyone have any experience or knowledge if this is a common issue? Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

From the description of the noise it would seem that the problem is a wheel bearing if the problem is new. If new tires were recently installed the noise could be coming from them.

Yes, it was a wheel bearing that needed replacement. I was surprised this was the case for a Toyota with less than 100K miles. I went ahead and replace both front wheel bearings. Thanks for the help.
