I've noticed when down in the garage several hours after having parked the RAV4 Hybrid that there is a noise that sounds like it may be the hybrid battery fan running. Would be interested in others thoughts on this. Tonight it was running but the car had been parked in the garage for over 5 hours. I would have thought if the battery was warm after the last outing it would have cooled off 5 hours later. I've owned two other hybrids and have not had a similar experience so just wondering.

I'd asked the same question before. It is the vehicle running a fuel system evaporative emission control test and it's totally normal.

Any potential faults in the battery fan system are covered by fault codes and warnings.

Nodnerb is right. The evap test pump begins a test a few hours after parking. It spooked me when I first noticed it. :)
