I have stock incandescent fog light bulbs on my rav4 and was wanting to get LED bulbs. Is it as simple as just getting new bulbs or is there more to it that I need to know? And will any H11 bulbs work? Does anyone recommen any in particular?
Drop-in LED replacements are not optically the same as the stock halogens. The reflectors are not designed to house them.
Last year, I replaced my fogs with these. I was able to grab some B-stocks at half price. Otherwise if you just want more light, you could shave the tabs on a set of H9 halogens to replace the stock H11s.
That's pretty nifty...I wired mine to turn on and off using the factory switch any time the key is turned on...they can be on with no lights, parking lights, low beams or high beams.
Having these are worse than factory bulbs...they do not allow the beam to focus and are pretty much useless...while getting the proper stuff is not always cheapest the results are worth it...
