Same, very annoying!

 

I've got a 2020 RAV4 Limited Hybrid and have no problem at all with my iPhone 16 Pro

 

To be more clear, and maybe I didn’t understand the original post, every time I start driving, the Toyota app on my iPhone wants permission to join. CarPlay works 99% of the time even if I ignore or do nothing. Why can’t the app automatically recognize my car and join?

 

I have no problem with my iPhone 16 Pro. Once in a while, it won't connect. Then I either wait for the next start (short trips), or reboot the radio by holding down the volume knob for a few seconds; it always connects after the reboot.
