I know from memory Speed is 9C Thats the pin marked 9 (it's in the connector plastic) on connector C of the ECU which is just behind the radio on the floor

If you were to turn the IGN to ON without starting and turn the Front Left wheel you get approx 4x 12V pulses per revolution on the 9C wire

- Thats approx 3200 pulse a mile (2000 per km) (The Wheel is 2.2m in Circumfrence which = approx 2 pulses per meter and there are 1600m in a mile) - which may aid setting up your sat nav if it needs this info for calibration.

The only need for both of these connections is so the Sat nav can approximate the location of the vehicle if you loose a GPS signal ... tunnel etc. I don't think they are critical to the operation of the unit

pioneer avic x1r

Build in the pioneer last weekend... and it's realy rocking
great sound output much beter then the 5 months old
sony 3300 mp3 player.... ( more clean volume from some speakers )..

It wasnt realy hard to find the speed signal wire..
The most time i spend trying to find the reverse signal
wire inside the car... wich changes color
