Is it possible to lock electronic keys in my Rav 4?

Before smart keys or electronic keyless fobs, a shuttle driver could lock a set of keys in a car at the end of a river trip. When I arrived I would use a second set to unlock my car. Unless there is a secret solution, I cannot lock my 2017 Rav 4 with a keyless ignition fob inside; correct?

You can lock it with the mechanical key and open it the same way. In your scenario you'd need 2 copies of the mechanical key.
I understand; however, I can't lock the actual fob in the car, correct?

I believe you can if you put the key fob into the sleep mode,
Thanks! Setting the fob to sleep, or energy saving mode, allows me to leave the fob inside as long as I manually lock the door either with the mechanical key, or by using the manual door lock button.
