Is the Toyota app down right now?

Mine has not updated since Friday the 27th evening. Still shows me parked at the grocery store. Trying to manually refresh it times out in error.

Toyota reliability does not extend to their software. My CarPlay is wonky sometimes too.

My Toyota app is still not getting info from my car. Still has me parked at the Grocery store from Friday and with Friday’s mileage.

I really think there is at least a partial system outage. I am not the only one with this issue since Friday.

So I’d think your issue might have more to do with the system than a user switch.

Yesterday got prompted to "PUSH TO UPDATE" the Entune App - first time in the 9 months that I've owned my 2019 RAV4 LE !
I checked this morning, there is no update available for my 2020 XSE. My DCM is connected and online but my Toyota App is still not getting any status update.

This free trial is not very convincing for me to pay money for it after a year.

Car head unit got an Entune Update this morning. (2020 Model) Was hopeful that was the fix but no. Same as before. On Fuel Level, Mileage, and PSI are working at this point.
This is sad. When I started this post six weeks ago, I expected it to be a quick outage. 127 posts and 4K views later, we still have problems.

Get your acts together Toyota or you will be yesterday’s news soon.

Seeing how they have so much trouble getting it to work, I wonder how good their cyber security is. I park in an enclosed garage overnight, last thing I need is some kid remote starting it and give me a whip of carbon monoxide.

ugh im so sorry that the lexus app didn't work for you. it was immediate for me. I hadn't even removed the Toyota app yet. which makes me wonder....because that means the car IS communicating with the cell towers, as the lexus app picked up my car as soon as it logged in, didn't even take time to load.
Do you have a 19 or 20?
App works fine on '19s, not so much on '20s for some reason.
Did Toyota change the DCM for 20? From one of the DCM disablement threads, the DCM was branded as Continental Made in Mexico(a 20?). Google search shows some older units branded as Denso Made in Japan. Did they switch vendor and protocol?
I understand that the DCM has its own backup battery and it may take days to fully discharge.
Then how does pulling the main 12V work?
My DCM has gone from bad to worse.

Now when I go to Menu - Setup - Software Update - Check for update, it says No Connection Available, Try Later. This was working before after the App went down.
The DCM icon is solid and shows bars, and the SOS button has a green light.

Anyone else seeing this too?

Toyota customer support left me a phone message today indicating that there is a vehicle update available for the remote app problem and the dealer needs to perform this. I think I'll wait a couple of weeks to see what happens with the virus before getting this done. It's getting worse around here.
I have an appointment next Monday for 5K service and this TSB. Per the posts on the other thread linked by Quickdtoo, applying the FW update did nothing to address the problem.

I am debating if I should cancel. It is one hell of a chance I am taking with the virus for a fix that does nothing.:unsure:
