Jerry sells toyota's extended warranty - not a dealership warranty. The Extended warranty actually takes effect after the factory warranty expires. So, unless you vehicle is over three years old or over 36K miles or 5-yrs old with more than 60K miles (for power train only coverage), any warranty work is covered by the basic factory coverage.

I have talked to Jerry on several occasions and although his prices seem to be too good to be true. I confirmed the he's legit as I have followed up with Toyota Financing (who is actually underwriting the warranty). The issue is - all the dealerships are free to set their own price schedules for extended warranty to produce enormous profit margins or make it appear to a customer that they're getting an enormous discount off the "total list price" when if fact they're giving you absolutely nothing. Jerry is making about 15-20% on the contracts he writes...... the typical dealer can get up to 300% and is often painless to the customer cuz it's all financed?!?!??

FWIW Jerry has generated so my business through the various toyota forums with his extended warranty offering that that's all he does now.

There is another toyota dealer in Acton Mass. that offers a similar deal but is usually $100 more than jerry's at Midwest Toyota. If pushed the Acton Mass dealer will match Jerry's price. No dealer I've heard of will meet Jerry's price. The sales drones are convinced the "book price" is the "cost".
