weathertech makes a back bumper attachment which may prove useful in this regard. I didnt get the OEM roof racks or the 1000 knockoffs available as I havent decided yet to go with the more expensive THULE system yet (which has specific parts for kayaks etc.)

Good idea for that weathertech attachement for a rear tie down point. Thinking more for small (single) rowing shells, does the prime have front tie down spot???
