I'm planning to replace my strut assembly with a KYB unit (strut plus) on my 2003.

RockAuto lists a different set of #'s for AWD (SR4146 SR 4147) vs FWD (SR4152 SR4153).

NOTE: On RockAuto the Monroe strut assembly does not differentiate between AWD and FWD.

I think I have a 4WD, but not sure. How do I tell AWD vs 4WD on a 2003 Rav4?

thanx in advance!

Sounds like some kind of data error to me - Rav's have never offered more than simply fwd vs awd options. If you Google the '4WD' part number you have (SR4152 SR4153), I find a few sites showing that part is compatible with FWD Rav4's... I think someone made a typo and entered 4WD instead of FWD.

it felt solid and firm and it feels better all around over the original shocks. i definitely feel less bumps and that feeling of going all over the place is gone especially after hitting a bump. i also changed out sway bar bushings and the little links that connect the sway bar to the shocks. i would recommend the moog links as they where practically 2x thicker than the originals and had greaseable fittings.
