A few weeks ago I noticed what appears to be oil leaking under the front left of my 2006 Rav4. It's coming from a spot about 20 inches to the right of the front left wheel. It's leaking through this hole in the plastic skid plate: see below for pic
Here is pic of the accumulated oil where it leaks from: see below for pic

Anyone know what the culprit could be? :confused:

Since you didn't complete your profile, we have no idea if you have the 4-cylinder engine or the V6.

There was a rubber engine oil hose that leaked in many early models. Toyota later replaced it with a steel hose. You can read about it in the sticky here. If I were you take it to a mechanic quickly before it is too late. It is very difficult to tell where a leak is coming from even if it is up on a hoist. I had a leak on a Camry which the mechanic had to put dye in the oil to see it with an ultra violet light. Turns out the engine camshaft and crankshaft seal leaked. (was expensive to fix).
