I did a search but couldn't find what I was looking for. I am off visiting the kids and my son wants to pick up some flooring and haul it to his house. To save him the expense of renting a truck, I need to know how much weight that I can put into the back of my 15 XLE. I know that I can't get it all in one trip, I just need to figure out how much I can haul at one time.

On page 660 of the 2015 manual it states 900lb total passengers and luggage.

Thank you. That means if you put four 250# guys in the RAV then you are overloaded. :)

900#/4 = 225# .... and it could be gals too! One purse would put you over!

And with people the load would be distributed evenly. Your load would be all in the back so I'd do maybe 500# max with just a driver. How long is the trip?

The trip was only about 10 miles, but the issue is resolved because Lowes delivered the flooring to them.

I'm 250# and had 750# of tile in the back of mine. It rode very nice and didn't sweat it. I took it easy though. Folks that don't like the RAV's ride should toss a couple boxes of 18" tile in the back.
