Hey, all. I've been scouring this forum to find out a way to replace my girl's 02 sensor per a P1037 code. It's a 2009 Rav4, 2.5L. I'm hoping to replace the O2 sensor myself, but haven't been able to locate the B1S2 sensor on the vehicle. Most of the videos and diagrams I've seen seem to show a 3.5L engine. Originally bought the Denso 234-4501, but that didn't fit. Please advise and thank you!

I checked Rockauto and your O2 you bought does not fit your vehicle. There are 3 available for your car. One is located in the engine area and the other 2 under the car on the exhaust pipe.

Here are the part which I found:

Denso 2344622 downstream (under the car on the exhaust pipe)
Denso 2344556 downstream (under the car on the exhaust pipe)
Denso 2349022 upstream (in the engine area)

I saw a youtube for 2007 V6 he used your part number. His was B1S2 (Bank 1 Sensor 2). His was located on the exhaust pipe past the exhaust manifold. The wires was fished out from the inside pedal floor.

It appears the O2 you got originally fits a V6 not a 4 cylinder.

After reading some reviews on Amazon.com for Denso 234462 one reviewer replaced a O2 on a 2011 RAV4 with 2.5 for B1S2. He had a P0138. He mention B1S2 is before the cat.
