I don't know if four months constitutes long term storage but I am happy to report that after our 2016 RAV4 Hybrid sitting in our garage for 4 months it started up like it had been parked overnight.

We just returned home after an extended cross country RV trip I was very curious about the RAV having dead batteries and happily there was no problem.

On our other vehicles I disconnected the batteries but decided to roll the dice on the RAV. I hope that this information is helpful to others with Hybrid Toyota Vehicles:smile

You'll get away with 4 months if the 12v battery is newish. After 3-4 years you won't be so lucky. A 12v battery tender is a great idea for that situation, and prevents damage to the 12v from being over-discharged.
