Have a 2019 Rav4 Hybrid Limited born on 5-13-19. I am looking for used rims to mount dedicated snow tires on for next Colorado winter. It came with very pretty rims and 18" so-so tires. Want 16 [preferably] or 17 inch snow tires/rims, eventually. Do generation 3 and 4 rims fit my gen 5 Rav4 sometimes, always, never? Are there online sites that cross reference what fits, or what doesn't? And for instance, are CRV rims often interchangeable? I'm starting to look at Craigslist in the Colorado area and if I can get up to speed on what works/doesn't, well that would certainly be nice. Thanks!

You might want to look at PN 42611-0R090-SW and 42611-0R230-SW. Let us know your findings.

If you are already planning on buying tires, yoiu could just as easily find aftermarket 16" or 17" rims for not much more than you'd pay for factory 4th gen wheels. I paid a bit under $500 shipped for my after market 16s, including a new set of lug nuts.

Yup, I have looked at Tirerack and Discount Tire and understand that they would take all my money. I'm dreaming, however, of finding some compatible, clean rims for $200 on Craigslist. Just need to expand my knowledge base. Thanks. BTW, you did put 16" rims/tires on a 2019 without issue??

So, ...it's worked out as well as I could have hoped. Four used but like new Moda rims, 20 acorn lug nuts, and throw away tires. $200 from a seller on Craigslist. Previously on a 2005 Lexus RX330. Researched my 2019 and his 2005 on both 'discounttiredirect.com' and 'www.tirerack.com' . Identical rims were available on both sites that fit both vehicles. Seemed almost certain they were compatible and they are. New rims fit just fine. Will buy some dedicated snows next fall and be ready for the winters to come....;) ... PS..Forgot to say, the Moda's are 17" wheels...

Totally get that!

And yes, I believe I am the 3rd member on here to have done 16s with no issues. There is about .5" or so of clearance between the caliper, but only about .25" between the inside of the rim and the lower strut mount.

Also, congrats on the buy!
