Someone on this site seemed dismayed that anyone would want to change their own oil. Check this out and you will see why I prefer to do my own maintenance. I'm certainly not implying all automotive shops are like this but it's not the first time I've heard of this kind of stuff.

Oh yeah.. I think I saw the same story but from 20/20 or Primetime, one of those. They interviewed ex jiffy lube employees and they indeed confirmed that their bosses told them to do that stuff. That was scary stuff :shock:

Enough to make your blood boil. What happened to "do unto others as...." Oh, yeah, with these folks, it must be "do unto other BEFORE they do unto you...."

thats why I dont change oil at any of thouse "oil change" places, either my self or at the dealer that I know, that will do it and that you wait for it to get done

Can you imagine what a dump like that would do with a V6 RAV4 oil filter change.
