Perhaps a hanging brake pad on a rotor that's too thin, overheating and warping?
Since you've provided no clue whatsoever as to the year or edition of your RAV4, if you happen to have a 4WD version could it be the rear drive shaft is out of balance or the U-joints on it are bad?
