My 97 RAV4 has a gas tank of 58L (12.8 gal). When gas warning light turned on at the first time, 49L gas had gone. How many liters of gas can I use before the vehicle is "thirsty"?

My previous car's tank is 60L. I could use it up to 55-57L.

With all fuel injected engines , you have to be careful not to run the tank completely dry so try not to push your luck too far .

If run dry , I believe you then have to prime the fuel system before you can get it running again .
