Haven't started the garaged 2015 RAV4 in over two weeks. Finally had a nice day so I'm giving it a spring cleaning today. Found a wadded up insulation nest just above the cabin air filter. Not a lot, so I think it's just become an issue since we're not traveling anywhere. I'm not even sure if the mouse got past the filter into the passenger cabin.

I'll plan on driving around the block every few days now, and get some traps in the garage and maybe repellent for the car. But mostly I'd like to know where the access areas are so I can plug them up as much as possible. Anybody have problem areas to look for and the materials used to patch them? I searched and saw some information, but mostly about repelling the critters and not fixing the issue.

I installed a piece of 1/4" hardware cloth/chicken wire over my cabin filter to stop any visitor's progress. Leaving the system on recirc instead of fresh helps too.
