Aren't LTXs light truck tires for pickups and large SUVs and not appropriate for our RAV4s?
If they are available in the right size (or at least a close size) then one could use them. However they would likely ride much worse than a more appropriate tire, and will likely be much heavier too, resulting in more unsprung weight. That said, it really depends on his driving needs - there are some of us who could use the load range of some LT tires! Lol

I called several tires stores and some suggested the LTX compare to the T+H. They said they suppose to ride the same but I can't imagine that's the case.
So, what do you use your RAV4... for? (Lol been waiting to say that! My Austin Powers moment)

You’ll certainly want to compare the weight and load range of an LTX to a typical Defender, which you can do via Michelin’s website or TireRack.com. If you’ll make use of the tires’ truck-specific features and don’t mind the compromises, and the price is right, go for it.

Despite being FWD I do go off-road at muddy job sites, and I tow frequently most of the year, so I could see a benefit to using LT tires on my little rig, but I’ll stick with the most aggressive yet comfortable non-LT tires I can find. Most of my driving is on-road, and my RAV is our road trip freeway cruiser too - I won’t compromise too much from my road performance, and I’d really need to find a good LT tire for this.
