Hey All,

Had a misfire on a 02 rav4 2.0L. The third cylinder was definitely misfiring and showed on scanner as #3. Okay so, replaced the COP on #3 and all the iridium spark plugs. It was still missing however the new code was multiple misfires so I changed the COP around a few times and it seems like a #2 misfire is now showing up. Switched the COP around again and still #2. My feeling is a cam sensor maybe? Hope someone had this issue and could use a little advice on what to look for next....Thanks All!

Well,

Found the bad coil. Apparently the firing order is what I had wrong. By switching around a few more times found that #4 which is the last coil on the drivers side of the vehicle. I gues the firing order of 1,3,4,2 is not correct but 1,2,3,4 is the correct order. I used to have a haynes manual for the car but lost on a move so a simple thing turned ugly. Anyway if someone would like to confirm the firing order I will jot it down....Thanks!
