I personally do it every 5k for my driving conditions. Unless the vast majority of your mileage is on the highway, I personally wouldn’t go 10k intervals on shear-prone oil. Especially with fuel dilution and condensation buildup from shorter trips. If you operate in a high temp environment, or operate under high load, I also wouldn’t stretch intervals unnecessarily. Oil is cheap and it’s very simple to change on these vehicles.
TCCN says to do it every 5K if you plan on keeping your vehicle any length of time past the warranty period.

I personally do 5K OCI and only use TGMO as it has way more moly than Mobil 1.

I used Super Tech in my old 94 Geo Metro, shortly after i started using it, it stated Knocking, bottom end, was it super Tech, not sure, but it happened, i wish that i had stayed with Castrol.
I do use Orellys full Synthetic, In My Mowers...
Being a Geo Metro is the reason it was knocking...
