Toyota has responded. https://www.motor1.com/news/370486/toyota-rav4-moose-test/

"At Toyota, the safety of our customers is our number one priority, and to ensure their security, we apply strict safety tests during the development of all our products. Our internal tests fully meet the global standards for obstacle avoidance, and since 2016, we have updated our processes to also reflect the procedures used by Teknikens Varld.
During its development stage, RAV4 successfully passed all internal tests, including the ISO 3888-2 and the Teknikens Varld Elk test. We give our assurance to all Toyota customers that they can be confident in the safety of their vehicles."

My experience with moose has always been in the winter. Poor road conditions and snow plowed high on the sides of the roadway. Never hit one thankfully but the moose are attracted to the salt and flat easy to travel on roads! You will most likely not be able to evade them? If you do have time..swerving into the oncoming lane is not a good idea! MntMan is correct, conditions will not be ideal!

I wouldn’t even put a grain of salt into the moose test. It is very unscientific, unreliable, subjective, done by a so so magazine. Where is the moose? Cars today will slow down automatically when detecting large object too close in front of it. The Rav4 was far from going to tip over let alone rolled over, just hit a cone. How aggressive was the driver during evasive maneuver? Complaining the car electronics? Using random people stuffed into the car. No robotic auto steering. How about calculating the car COG? No mention about ground clearances between those cars. What tires were used? Road condition, etc.
