Think he would find the weather rather unpleasant compared to the isle of man. We had a 35 Celsius day here on Friday last-not nice. But then we don't get the freezing winter snows either!! And the advantage of that is we don't get rusty vehicles from salted roads. I'm on the Rangerover.net forum as well as I have a 97 model and I am staggered at the rust they have on some of the pictures I have seen. Unheard of here-same as our 2 99 models as per my picture, not a skerrick of rust on them.

Yeah, that's how it is in more southern states in the US and particularly the south west where it can be pretty dry and hot. My neighbor bought a 1980 something Ford pickup from Texas that had very minimal rust on it.

Wow that may not be economical. Yes as Coffee Bear says "in the land down under" we are the same as the U.K. seeing we were found by them. Here's the postage on a 10 kg weight, wow, that may not be worth it!!! Postage calculator & delivery times - Australia Post
It dosent say the carrier, and it also dosen`t say wethere it is actual weight, or volumetric weight ( volumetric weight i would normally expect with international parcel shipment ).

10kg sounds heavy for this part. I would think it actually weighs less than half that but I could be wrong.
That might be the volumetric weight of the part, for example 74cm x 18cm x 10cm would give a volumetric weight of 2.664 kg, so if the part is heavier than that it will go by the weight, and not the size of the parcel, ( charged by the higher of the two ( actual, or volumetric weight ).

What is the weight, and sizes of it ?
Can you get me a rate for postage ?
Can you let me have a picture of it, to make sure it is the same part ?
Please advise.
Regards.

Weight and size I have no idea as don't have the parts but I would think the size of them would be more a weight thing than cubic measure. The offer was for me to get them from a wrecker here if you were stuck getting parts. Shouldn't be any difference to your cars as our came straight in from Japan which is a right hand drive country as you are. Only thig different would be possibly how they are named and trim levels. I sent you the link to them so you could enquire from them if they had them, how much and I could get them and ship them over to you. It would go via Australia Post so would end up in your postal system once in the U.K I would have thought. I also have worked for years in transport so know all about volumetric versus dead weight.
Insect wise mozzies are a pest as carry disease but some spiders are deadly but not much else insect wise
Hope that helps

Darn we aren't home anymore, we are in the island state of Tasmania. Arrived this morning. There are hundreds of wreckers in Aust but not having lived in Tas for a while not sure of availability here in Launceston where we are. Put in Toyota Wreckers Aust and it brings up heaps but not sure who will ship overseas. I'll see what I can find here. There are about 4 or 5 wreckers here by the look of it so will see what I can find.

norspeed
what is your country?
fedex and ups are in most countries.
and depending on the import laws for your country that will make a difference on where to get the items from for easy shipping.

yea lots of parts on the short list.
but if you reach out to countries like Poland and united emeritus where the older ravs have a BIG following
you might find mfg's that still make the parts.

or find a local machine shop to rework your parts.

He's on the Isle of Man and the parts need to be right hand drive fit, those countries are left hand drive.

No I can't find it on a google search only the facebook link you put up. Never heard of them myself. Aus is a very big country!! Am seeking some prices for the parts you want but might be hard to cost postage without knowing the weight of the item.

On a re-contact with them, the Paypal e-mail had changed, also the name changed to a "as sent to me as" a now ( TERRY Smith ),
I contacted Paypal, and provided the information i had, and content of the facebook conversation with the supplier, they were un-able to provide information as to the verification of the name, or the PayPal address, due to privacy laws, the fact that they wanted me to send payment as a friend / family, as opposed to goods / services, and changed names, I decided not to purchase the part from them, as there were just too many red flags.
