Our 2007 Rav4 Limited V6 AWD, had a drywall screw in one of its tires with about 10,000 km on it.
I used a plug kit from the local auto store. That was 50,000 km ago. Never leaked, no problems what so ever.
The screw was in the tread, not the sidewall.
