I'm back. :laugh OK, I'm looking for ideas on installing a kill switch. The Apexi, is still running great. But the battery has to be reset once in a while. Does anyone have an ideas on placing a kill switch in the drivers side? Like a HD switch so I can quickly reset the OBC without getting out of my RAV4. Removing the negative battery terminal, it just erodes the battery terminal.

What's an Apexi and what are you trying to reset? If it is an ECU or some type of add on, just put a SPST switch in series with the power to it. I put a small switch over next to the dealer add on alarm light to the left of the steering column. It controls which boost map the Turbosmart boost controller uses. You could route whatever power lines to a switch in the same area or put one more hidden.

An APEXI is a small computer that checks the A/R with an AEM wide O2 sensor. Yes, my RAV4 is N/A, NO turbo. It runs very well. Just ask all the 4 Runners and V6 SUV that always ready my license plate. But every once in a while I have to reset my OBC and I guess installing a switch on my dash will make it easier. Oh yes, BTW, my RAV4 has some "other" goodies. >:D Header, exhaust, MSD coil/6A, Intake, Spacer, Ground Kit, engine and transaxle oil cooler and some other stuff.

Welcome back, if you want to do it from the captain's chair you would need a solenoid and switch like the following:

Solenoid: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00KPR8QAO?psc=1

Switch: https://www.amazon.com/Rocker-Switc...r=8-2&keywords=battery+isolator+switch+rocker

Or another switch: https://www.amazon.com/Rocker-Switc...r=8-1&keywords=battery+isolator+switch+rocker

Whatever solenoid you use you don't want one that requires power to stay open or closed as many auto solenoids do. The one here is designed to kill RV or boat batteries when not being used.

These rocker switches should fit in the rocker switch panel.

If the APEXI is near the driver, put a momentary open switch in the APEXI power-line. Like Dr Hess suggested.

If you need a remote setup, put a normally closed relay in the power line. Then you would power the relay to turn off the APEXI. This relay is a common part, at most part stores.

Either one would be simple and easy to install.

Just an FYI for you guys if you want to put your remote start/ kill switches somewhere not right beside the ignition harness where theifs can easily reconect them... The wire bundle runs behind the instrument cluster and is in the bucket just under the left vent... If i recall red is the starter wire...
