Stadium Toyota in tampa florida farmed out my 97 Rav4 in 2002 to northgate collision center who put a substandard after market radiator in my rav4 which is failing just 3 years and 15,000 miles later
so I need arecomdation to find a quality replacment (USA please)

als any one know how hard it is to do it your self ?

I've been known to use those substandard radiators from time to time...although I've never had one fail that quickly...they usually come with a warranty of some sort.

If you don't want to go that route, you'll have to shop around, and ask a lot of questions...but be prepared to spend around $500 for the Toyota part...just a quess, but I don't think I'd be too far off...

Replacing a radiator is certainly doable for the do-it-yourselfer. Although I havent' swapped out a RAV radiator yet, I don't think it would be too difficult...drain the coolant, pull the hoses (buy new hoses if you need to) remove the fan and then pull the rad...the AC bits might get in your way...but it shouldn't be too difficult...
