Hi, recently my brother had to get a newer car because of emissions regulations (2000> petrol cars are banned from cities and 2005> diesel ones too). So he gifts me this beauty to me. It's a pre-facelift model with two detachable roofs, A/C, and power windows. It has some problems the paint is sun faded and the clear coat is peeling also it has some rust spots near the sunroof and some cosmetic damage but it runs great. I plan to restore it OEM+ style with some minor customization but trying to keep it as original as possible. I will be doing a lot of DIY as I am a student and money is my main limiting factor. I want to add some newer features like USB charging ports and newer stereo and speakers in the interior. Here I add some pictures as I received. I will clean it today and start sorting out some things.
Hope you like it!

Congratulations on your "new" RAV4. These are fun little cars and mostly fairly easy to work on. Have a close look at the left front tyre before driving too far.
Thanks for your message. Yes, you are right both front tires need to be replaced ASAP for safety concerns and because next month it`s the yearly inspection which is quite harsh on older cars. Do you know if my rims are original? Because I saw some rims like in the photo below that included tires for cheap and I really like the look of those

How do I become your brother's brother? 😁
hahaha, you come a little late but I understand the feeling . Where I live this is a pretty common car in fact in every parking you can see at least 1 or 2 rav4 from this generation. Usually, they are in great condition as the only"damaging" agent is the sun.To be honest mine is one of the toughest looking ones but not for long ;)

Due to the age of our vehicles, and the condition of your front tires/tyres, I'll predict that your front (and likely rear too) suspension needs a major renovation. This reno needs to be done before the four-wheel alignment, and the alignment is needed to prevent your new tires from rapid or unusual wear.
