I'm buying a new AMP for my desist US Acoustic AMP. The one I'm planning to buy is an Alpine MRP-F240 V-Power 4 Channel Amplifier. Price, well in Chruchfield it' $199.00, but thanks to Google Froogle, I got it down for $127.00.

Question: I know about Alpine stuff, but I don't like their receivers, the CD tends to jump allot. I guess it’s made for BMW, Alfa Romeo, and Porches ride. But what about AMP, how do they work?

Numbers on the AMP

* 40 watts RMS x 4 at 4 ohms * 50 watts RMS x 4 at 2 ohms * 100 watts RMS x 2 bridged output at 4 ohms * 2-, 3-, or 4-channel output * 4-ohm stable in bridged mode * Tri-Way capable * Requires 10-gauge power and ground leads * Selectable high-pass/low-pass crossover at 80 Hz, 18 dB/octave (2 separate crossovers, one for channels 1 & 2, another for channels 3 & 4) * Subsonic filter at 15 Hz for channels 3 & 4 * Tuned Bass EQ (0-12 dB bass boost at 50 Hz) * Preamp outputs * MOSFET power supply * STAR Topology (minimizes internal noise and prevents ground interference) * Speaker- and preamp-level inputs * Gold-plated screw terminals * Dimensions: 9 1/2"W x 2 5/16"H x 10 1/2"D Alpine amplifiers may not be returned for exchange or refund, it can be repaired only! Refunds will be given only for products that are received in unopened new condition and complete with all packing material, manuals and accessories in their original carton.

Speakers, I'm still using the Infinity Reference Componet systems.
