In my 02 I went with the more expensive Akebono pads since I'm not going to service then again for a very long time. Most quiet pads there is. Made in Japan

Do the advice and akebono pads come with new clips. Some are pictured with new clips the Advice and Ake are not.

I would pick the Advics or the Toyota branded version of it. I have never had any luck with aftermarket brake pads on any of my three Toyotas.

As for rotors I have come to really trust Centric, which I believe are also an OEM supplier for various manufacturers.

I purchased Hawk HPS pads and Centric Cryo-treated rotors. Best braking combo I have felt.

If you are changing front pads, check your rotors. Even better - get them turned even if you are only replacing pads.

get hawk brake pads
buy once, cry once...
well more than once.
soft pads that put a lot of braking force. the only drawback is that they wear out faster than normal pads and are more expensive.
