My new rav4 has under 100 miles. After each ride, I feel the air coming into the air is a bit warm and has a smell of burning plastic. The engine compartment feels hot, especially the engine coolant(the one with pink fluid) which is made of plastic. Is this expected in the first few miles of using the rav4 or should I take it to the dealer?

They coat the inside of the tail pipe with a chemical that prevents corrosion during transport. It takes a little while for that to burn off. Perhaps that's what it is?

My '15 and the '16 Hybrid both did that, goes away after a few drives.

Its not so much a corrosion preventative, its the traces of the machining lubricant from the manufacturing process that cuts and forms the exhaust system. There are traces on both the inside and the outside that take some time to burn off.
