Not new to Toyotas, but new to Rav4's owned a few Landcruisers and a Corolla in the past. My son is moving abroad and is offering to "give" me his 2010 Rav4. It has about 130,000 kilometres on it. He has not really maintained it himself and uses Jiffy Lube to change oils etc. I have always done all my own work on my vehicles, and would like to continue in a like vein. Anything special I would need to do upon picking it up. It is a base model with only front wheel drive, but he says it is fine in the snow. I plan on changing all the fluids, checking the brakes etc. Any other tips would be appreciated. It will be driven mostly on Vancouver Island and about 10,000 kilometres per year. Thank you.
