Great collective knowledge here.
I was shopping for a 2nd car, a family shared car to eventually hand down to a new driver. Being a freakish tall sort, that rules out a lot of vehicles, I've haunted car lots and private sales saying "let me sit behind the wheel and see if it fits".
Found a person selling a 96 4x4, thought I'd at least check it out.
What a pleasant surprise that the seat goes back as far as it does, and the roof has space between it and my head, didn't have to slouch in a semi reclined seat.
Very cool car, AWD feels very stable, at 120K, it's held together well and does not feel all loose and shaky. Certainly won't get a case of sudden mass acceleration  I'd let a teenaged daughter drive it.
So it's in the driveway now. Going to have some basic fixes done and try some dress up touches I see in the forums.
I've got to adjust to the 'Purple Storm' paint though.
