Hi, all.
Just got a 2001 RAV4, manual, 126K km in interior (Williams Lake) BC, way western Canada in the woods. First Toyota ever, so far German cars mostly, Subaru, Mazda and the odd Detroit iron.
Already grateful for finding help with leaky sunroof on the forums.

Not sure, if there's an issue with losing coolant - PO had topped it way too high. After driving about 600 kms it has gone a bit lower, but still above the Max. It's the pink coolant and "Coolant service" was listed on an invoice less than 10K kms ago. The temp gauge was pegged in the middle during the whole trip, good power, no issues noticed.
Is there an issue with coolant loss and, if so, is there any typical spot to look at and a fix?

Thanks,
Tihol,
Williams Lake, BC

Since it was overfilled it may have just spewed out due to expansion as it heated up. Does it have a 'recovery container' or just an overflow piped out to the street?

Thanks. Probably overfilled - PO didn't seem car savvy at all.
The overflow tank has a long hose, going through the cap and connected to the rad. Will check more carefully for details.
